I was playing around with some free sounds on Splice Instrument and came across a string synth I really liked. I played the melody that I used in another lofi song, Celtic Keys, and loved the sound so I set out to make a fuller arrangement around it trying to build some anticipation that leads into the melody. I’ve been enchanted by the sound of the Irish low whistle since the first time I heard it so I tried to approximate that sounds as best I could within Ableton. I don’t think I have quite nailed the tempo or the humanization of the flute yet.

As I was working on the build up it evoked a scene that I worked into a super short film.
