As I was working on the piece that became the score for this film, I found it was evoking a sort of Braveheart knockoff scene in my head. I decided to try to make a clip to go along with the music using Sora. This was my first time using it so it took quite a bit of trial and error to get something that was passable. It didn’t quite acheive the emotional impact I was hoping for as the stormbound warrior discovers that his love did not survive. Something about him getting stuck on the wall when trying to climb the stairs sucks the gravity out of the whole situation. But I had a good laugh and I had a lot of fun making it. It’s the first video I “directed” since I made an anti-drinking informermercial for a high-school project. I learned my lesson then and did not get violently drunk afterwards this time around.
